Visitor center.

Yesterday once again we weren't going to the Marriott so we went to the Albany visitor center in Quakenbush square.While there we went to the planetarium and watched a movie about the history of Albany and we also took a tour of the center. The lady (part owner ) from the Aqua duck came and we all got a little rubber duck to take home. I learned a lot of stuff that i didn't know before about Albany and had fun wile i was there.

Mansion Hill Inn

So Lately we Haven't been going to the Marriott Because of the current economic situation everyone is in. So last week instead of doing nothing we went to to the Mansion hill Inn (which our teacher owns). While there we took a tour of the property and a few other kids and I cooked for the rest of the class. over all it was fun and it was really nice to do something different for a change.

Marriott (02-24-09)

So yesterday at the we started to work in a new section. Since we were in a new section we also we also decided that we would focus on communication. While there we walked around with Kristy , who is the Banquet manager, we seen what we will be doing next time we go. we also had a yellow sheet to fill out which was full of qeustions for us to ask kristy like what she does and what her biggest challenges are. So next week i will fill you into more of what we do. Bye

The Marriott (2/03/09)

Yesterday at the Marriott i was in housekeeping. I was on the 8th floor with Naldine. There was kinda a language barrier so I wasn't able to get a lot from her but i did learn a few things . First off the basic yesterday was appreciation , so I had to look for certain things that showed how the guest are appreciated in the hotel. One thing i seen was how each room is given water bottles and packets of Fine Tea. Another thing was where a person forgot his tie so we sent it to the front desk right away so they could try to get the tie back to the costumer that forgot it.

Marriott 01/20/09

So at the Marriott this week I was supposed to be in the kitchen but I was sick so I was moved to the front desk . While at the front desk I work with Camile. It was really slow , I think I only seen like three customers, so we watched the inauguration on CNN. But one customer came back after checking out, because when he was looking over his bill he noticed that he was not billed for a movie. Even though it was honest and nice of him to come back i think it was just a little stupid of him. I mean who in their right mind goes back to be charged for something. I could see going back if you were over charged but he wasn't , it was like he was trying to throw away money.But overall yesterday was fun even though it wasn't very productive.

I missed marriot so i writing about work

I missed Marriott for the last few times . So I am going to write about work . At work I Do pretty much nothing until we close. every now and then a customer coms in and i have to make tem a sandwich or get them soup but thats about it. At closing we have to break down the whole store . We have to bring the produce from outside and wrap up the deli case . I have to take out the garbage and some one has to wash the dishes. But it really only takes like 20 minutes to do every thing and they give use 3 hours to do it. That means that who ever is working just stands around and watches t.v. or plays on their cellphone. But that is about it .

Marriott - 10/27

On the 27Th we once again went to the Marriott for our internship. And once again i was at the front desk so i pretty much did the same things as last week.The only thing that was different this time was that I got to go to the airport with the bell stand guy whose name is will. Other than that everything was the same. I still had fun and i still liked being there but it was the same.
